We’re Getting Even Fonder of Greenpoint’s Eateries: Le Fond

Le Fond Burger

The Griddled Pat LaFrieda Burger

Le Fond- a name derived from the French for ‘the core’ or the base of every sauce in French cuisine- is a fitting title for this new French culinary outpost, which will quickly become a neighborhood go-to gathering spot for friends and cozy dates alike.

With a recognition of the expanding palate of Greenpoint clientele, chef Jake Eberle brought his expertise in the niche of fine, French cuisine to a quiet, yet accessible corner of Brooklyn.

While you ponder over tantalizing options like the Rabbit Terrine with Golden Delicious Mustard and Hazelnuts, and the Duxelles-Stuffed Chicken, fuel your decision-making with 3-for-1 Blue Cheese beignets, and half priced house wine or local draft beer at happy hour.

Our solid choices for a mix-n-match of adventurous and a classic standby meal includes: The Marinated Mussels with white beans, tomato confit and fennel for $9, and the generous, melt-in-your-mouth Griddled Pat LaFrieda Burger with Chandoka Cheddar at $15.

Dress casual. Make new friends. And don’t skip dessert.
