Over the last year or so, the skincare market has been bursting with B,B, creams (Blemish Balm or Beauty Balm) that combine skin protection and skin coverage as an all-in-one product. Despite the ever-developing market of SPF makeup, B.B. creams took the market by storm, promising not just even tone and sun protection, but also moisturizing components that work behind-the-scenes to improve skin over time.

Dr. Lewinn by Kinerase is one of the many brands to embrace the B.B. cream frenzy. Dr. Lewinn, a plastic surgeon primarily focused on developing anti-aging products, incorporates kinetin into his version of this highly-sought product. Kinetin is a plant-based antioxidant that has been proven to improve the health of skin cells.

As for the product itself, I was a bit wary upon first sight to find it quite dark. However, it blended well into my very fair skin. Evened skin tone? Check. Sticky? No. Scent? None. Sun protection? Yes. Speeds up my morning routine? Drastically. All in all, an excellent product that seems to hit – or rather cover – the (sun) spot.
