Mama Mio OMega Body Buff Exfoliator

It’s no secret that exfoliation is key for establishing smooth, soft and healthy skin. Plenty of companies have produced scrubs that accomplish this goal. However, not all scrubs are created equal.

Mama Mio, a beauty company well-known for its roots meeting skincare needs met in pregnancy and its “No Nasties” policy (no colourant, paraben, petrolatum, phthalates, sodium lauryl and laureth sulphate, synthetic fragrence or zenoestrogen), expanded its line to include general skincare products, including OMega Body Buff, which Mama Mio boasts as being “brilliant prep for your skin before applying self-tanner,” so as to avoid streaking. And, while it is gentle enough for the face, it is strong enough for areas as tough as say, the bottoms of ones feet after a long summer of callous-building runs along the West Hudson (if you’re anything like this reviewer).

Also, unlike other scrubs, OMega Body Buff Exfoliator ($33) doesn’t have a chunky texture, and is instead made up of micro-ground pumice, accompanied by sweet almond oil, aloe vera, chamomile and vitamin E, resulting in a consistently grainy feel that is not as harsh as other similar products. While the scent may not be anything to write home about, those interested in a quick-to-soften skin scrub that also happens to be environmentally safe and healthy, look no further.
